The Duvo app is a companion to the Duvo platform. You need a Duvo account to
use it — start here.
How it works in Teams
Someone asks Duvo
Send Duvo a message in your personal chat with the app, or mention
@Duvo in a channel or group chat. Duvo replies with the agents you can
start from Teams.
Pick an agent
Choose an agent from the card. Duvo confirms which agent is on it and links
to the Run in Duvo.
A human decides, where you asked for one
You choose which steps need a person — typically the ones that commit money
or leave the company. A gated step pauses and asks in Teams; answer or
approve, and the agent either carries on or stops.
The agent completes the work
It performs the action in the target system and posts the result back into
the conversation where you started it.
What the app does in Teams
- Starts Runs from a chat or a mention — Message Duvo directly, or mention @Duvo in a channel or group chat it has been added to, and choose the agent to run.
- Follows up in the same place — In a channel thread, mention @Duvo again to send the agent a follow-up. In a chat, Duvo offers to continue the last Run.
- Asks for decisions where you are — Approvals, questions, and input requests arrive as cards in Teams. Answer there; the Run resumes.
- Posts results and notifications — Run output goes back to the conversation that started it, and you can choose to get Duvo notifications as Teams messages.
- Reads the conversation as context — In a channel, the agent gets the thread it was mentioned in. In a chat, it gets any message you quoted in the mention.
- Starts agents from group-chat rules — A group chat can start an agent automatically when a message matches a rule you set in Duvo, without anyone mentioning @Duvo.
Duvo uses large language models. Responses, summaries, and other output can be
inaccurate or incomplete — review anything consequential before acting on it.
This is why processes that commit money or leave the company are the ones to
gate on a human.
Install it
The app is installed once per Microsoft 365 organization from inside Duvo. Each person then links their own account and adds the app for themselves.Add the app for your organization
Go to the Connections page, open
Microsoft Teams, and click Add to Teams. Sign in with your Microsoft
work account. Depending on your organization’s settings, a Microsoft or
Teams administrator may need to approve the app.
Link your own Teams account
On the same page, click Enable under Your Account and sign in. Every
team member does this once — it tells Duvo which Teams user you are.
Add Duvo in Teams
In Teams, open Apps, search for Duvo, and click Add. This opens
your personal chat with Duvo, which is where it messages you.
After you install
Choose which agents Teams can start
Turn on the Microsoft Teams trigger for each agent you want to start from
Teams.
Decide when a human is asked
Gate the actions that need a decision, so approvals land in Teams before
anything commits.
Turn on Teams notifications
Get approvals, questions, and failure alerts as Teams messages.

Permissions, data, and privacy
Installing authorizes two separate identities, and they reach different things:- The Duvo app posts as Duvo, so automated messages stay distinguishable from people. It receives messages that mention it, messages in your personal chat with it, and messages in the channels and group chats it has been added to.
- Your linked Teams account reaches whatever that account can already see. Duvo uses it to identify you and to read the context an agent needs, such as the rest of a channel thread or a shared file. An agent working under your account sees exactly what you would see, and nothing else.
